Greetings. I'm Makana Eyre, an American journalist based in Paris. I write about politics, culture, and history for these publications. I also write a (mostly) weekly column for Civil Beat, a nonprofit newsroom in my hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii. My first book was published in 2023 by W.W. Norton & Company. It was translated into Dutch by Thomas Rap and Italian by Newton Compton. I am a graduate of the Columbia Journalism School, and I teach journalism and media history at Sciences Po.
To get in touch, send me an email via this contact form. For enquiries about Sing, Memory, please reach out to Rachel Salzman of W.W. Norton at rsalzman@wwnorton.com. My agent for Sing, Memory is Markus Hoffmann of Regal Hoffmann. For future projects, I'm represented by Alex Kane of WME.
